Waterford Road - 156th to 170th

This project provides for the reconstruction of Waterford Road from 156th Street west to 170th Street as a four-lane roadway with left turn lanes including grading, storm sewer, and a new bridge. The paving will be portland cement concrete with two 25-foot wide paving sections and a 15-foot grass median. The project will also include the construction of a second bridge over Walnut Creek. The bridge will be built to ultimately provide for 4-lanes of traffic and a 10-foot wide sidewalk on the north and south sides. A trail connection under the bridge will also be provided on the west side of the creek. It is anticipated that this project would be completed by the end of November 2018.

Project Status Update - 7/25/18

The contractor is working on grading, installation of storm sewer, and construction of the bridge.

Phase 1 - Waterford Road is closed from 156th Street to 165th Street.

Due to recent rains, it is anticipated that Phase 1 will be complete and Phase 2 will close in late September.

The contractor is scheduled to pave the main 4 lanes in Phase 1 from the west side of the bridge up to 165th Street on Friday, July 27th, and 28th. If it rains on Saturday, it will be pushed back to Monday.

It is anticipated that the contractor will pour the bridge deck within the next week.
